Pipers Farm's free range venison

We raise our fallow deer for venison meat in the stunning grounds of historic Powderham Castle in Kenton, 6 miles south of Exeter. Slow-grown and fed on ancient parkland grass, our venison is simply sensational to eat! In 2013 we were proud to pick up a two-star Gold Great Taste award for our Saddle Fillet of venison.

We only feed our deer only pure, natural grass.

We allow our herd of fallow deer to grown slowly so they can reach natural maturity, as nature intended.

We hang our venison on the carcass for 12 days to develop a wonderful depth of flavour.
