These deep oven casserole dishes are inspired by the Shropshire ironmasters of the eighteenth century.
Created by skilled British craftsmen, these large, deep casserole dishes are made by the same metal spinning process as Netherton Foundry's famous frying pans and saucepans. This traditional, solid iron casserole pot has a smooth, flat base which means that it heats up evenly on all types of stove hobs.
To finish the pot, the signature pre-seasoned flax oil is used to bond with the iron. With use, the seasoned finish becomes smoother and develops a glossy patina. If worn or damaged, the coating can simply be restored at home, time after time.
This versatile dish can be used for baking bread, cooking over fire or simply slow cooking something delicious in the oven.
To re-season your cast-iron pot/pan, use Flax Oil for best results.
