The Artisan Cheese & English Sparkling Wine Box includes:
Castlewood NV Brut
This stunning English Sparkling Wine is the perfect tipple for any celebration. A Non Vintage blend comprising Seyval Blanc and Chardonnay, with a distinctinve colouring of clear pale lemon. You'll taste green apples with deep refreshing citrus undertones. Made by our good friend Rob, just down the road in Dorset.
250g Baron Bigod
This is a truly exceptional cheese; made with raw milk. It is the only traditional raw milk Brie-de-Meaux style cheese produced in the UK. In fact, even the French would be jealous, as this cheese is one of only a handful of its type in the world to be made by the farmer on the farm and can genuinely be called a true farmhouse Brie.
200g Oxford Blue
A moist creamy cows’ milk cheese that has an aromatic finish. Made by Baron Robert Pouget after he spotted a gap in the market for a British blue to rival Continentals, such as Fourme D’Ambert and Gorgonzola.
200g Quicke's Vintage Clothbound Cheddar
In our opinion, this is the best cheddar in the country. Handcrafted using heritage starters by expert cheesemakers, this exquisite cheddar is clothbound and naturally matured, typically for 24 months, making it the worlds oldest naturally matured cheddar. A rich, intense cheese with huge depth of flavour, from umami to buttery, to salted caramel.
For bottles with corks, be sure to store your wine horizontally in a wine rack. Keeping wine on its side helps keep the cork moist, which is key for long-term storage, as a dried out cork can cause seepage and premature aging.
It is necessary to apply a common sense approach to cheese care and respond to the cheese you have in front of you, as opposed to following rigid guidelines.
The best option is to keep the cheese wrapped in its waxed paper within a box in the fridge. The container will help to prevent the cheese from drying out and prevent the cheese from absorbing flavours.

About the producer
Castelwood vineyard is owned and managed by Rob Corbett who meticulously tends to every vine throughout the growing season. Rob call’s in the labour of family and friends for the harvest, with everyone eagerly anticipating the coming vintage and their free wine as payment.
The Castlewood philosophy is quality not quantity, and that less is more. The wines undergo no filtration nor do they use any fining chemicals. Due to Castlewood's small scale production the team can leave the wines to clarify naturally.
