Why we love this
Beautiful and abundant Mackerel from Brixham Bay are steamed whole, then skinned by hand, lightly seasoned and preserved in delicious olive oil.
Tinning our most abundant British fish, such as Mackerel, is a wonderfully sustainable way to preserve the fish and ensure as few fish as possible are thrown away. With our seas offering some of the best fish in the world, by tinning the fish, means we are able to preserve the locally landed fish in perfect condition, so when you pull open a can, they are as good as the day they were caught.
We love stacking the Brixham Bay Mackerel onto sourdough toast, drizzled with a little oil from the tin, or eating as part of a vibrant tapas.
