Rose Harissa Paste
£4.35
This stunning Rose Harissa has a slow-burning chilli heat, balanced with sweet smokiness that adds real depth of flavour to any dish.
The name Harissa comes from the Arabic harasa, meaning ‘to pound’ or ‘break into pieces'. It is not far from a straight translation of the Italian pestare, to 'pound' or 'crush' - which is where we get the word 'pesto' from.
Rose Harissa paste can be used as a marinade, added to homemade burgers or even dolloped on scrambled eggs.

QualityAbout
It all started in 1991 when Adam and George founded The Fresh Olive Company, later to become Belazu. With a passion for Mediterranean flavours the duo literally set out their stall at world famous Borough Market.
Belazu is founded in a simple principle, that every product has its place and its people.
They know them all personally. Their single-estate Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil, for example, is made by Eduard and his family in a mill at the heart of their Arbequina olive groves in Catalonia. Eduard tastes 70 oils a day at the peak of production season, and can pick varietals wearing a blindfold. Adam and George have watched him do it for decades.
Belazu buys ethically and is committed to sustainably. They have even set up the Belazu Foundation, which supports food and education projects for kids and young people in the UK and the Mediterranean.
