La Roche Buissière, Petite Jo
Stunningly scented 'Little Jo' is a beautiful blend of Grenache and Syrah grapes. It is red, juicy and joyful to drink.
Domaine la Roche Buissière sits on 18 hectares of organic vineyards. It's run by Pierre, Antoine and Laurence Joly who have been committed to organic principals since 1980.
In order to maintain freshness and lightness to their wines, third-generation winemaker Antoine Joly dedicates himself to very intense vineyard work that allows him to harvest earlier, resulting in less concentrated wines.
Manual harvesting and careful sorting in the vineyard promote the incredibly healthy harvest this family sees year after year, and thus allows a natural vinification process. No sulphites or other inputs are used during winemaking. Fermentations take place naturally using indigenous yeasts. The wines are neither fined nor filtered and the clarification takes place naturally during aging.
Serve this fabulous wine with venison, beef, hogget, mutton, or strong soft cheeses.
Nose: Notes of red summer fruits, peach and dark chocolate with hints of cinnamon.
Palate: Plum, prune and blackberry, with a smooth finish and a long and playful after taste.
For bottles with corks, be sure to store your wine horizontally in a wine rack. Keeping wine on its side helps keep the cork moist, which is key for long-term storage, as a dried out cork can cause seepage and premature aging.
While it’s not necessary to keep screw top wine bottles on their sides, horizontal storage is nevertheless an efficient way to store your wines for maximum space and easy access.

AboutThird generation Antinone Joly took over the vineyard in South Rhone from his father in 1988, together with his wife they began vivifying and bottling their own wine. His father Pierre is regarded as a pioneer of organic viticulture in the Rhône, with his vineyards certified since the 1980's. Located northeast of Vaison-La-Romaine in the southern Côtes du Rhône, they work 15 hectares of organic vineyards and maintain a freshness and lightness in our wines by dedicating themselves to very intense vineyard work that allows us to harvest earlier, resulting in less concentrated wines.
