Landron Chartier, Domiane Muscadet

Landron Chartier, Domiane Muscadet

With freshness and personality, this wine is a true expression of the diverse mix of  Muscadet's soils. The organically grown grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeast.

The climate of the Coteaux de la Loire is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and the Loire River. It is a soft climate; not too cold, not too warm and little rainy - with hilly relief to the edge of the Loire. It allows for deep roots, so good ripeness. The moderate temperature in summer allows for freshness in the wine.

A classic Muscadet with added intensity, delicious when drunk on its own or a wonderful accompaniment to a light chicken dish, salads or fish.

Nose: Delicate fruity aromas.

Palate: A fruity but dry wine with ripe and mineral character.

ABV: 12%

For bottles with corks, be sure to store your wine horizontally in a wine rack. Keeping wine on its side helps keep the cork moist, which is key for long-term storage, as a dried out cork can cause seepage and premature aging.

While it’s not necessary to keep screw top wine bottles on their sides, horizontal storage is nevertheless an efficient way to store your wines for maximum space and easy access.

Third-generation winemaker Bernard had been working with his brother Jo in the heart of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine area, before moving in 2002 to the lesser-known and cheaper area of Ancenis, (to the North-East of Nantes). Initially his whole production was sold in bulk, but when Bernard's eldest son Benoît returned hoome from university in 2008, they started to bottle their own wine and became organic in 2010.

Their wines are fresh and have personality; expressing the diverse mix of soils that Muscadet offers.
