Boneless and skinless, our free range chicken fillets are the single muscle from beneath the breast and would be the equivalent of a tenderloin if we were talking about pork. Often left attached to the breast by many, however, we like to remove them and celebrate them in their own right. This makes cooking much simpler for an even cook throughout.

Our properly free range chicken fillets are the perfect size for whipping up a great kids' tea or wrapping in bacon to make delicious party nibbles or tossing through a summer salad.

At Pipers Farm we are huge believers in delicious and healthy meat coming from active, free-ranging animals that are grown the natural way. Our properly free range chickens live outside year round, with access to shelter to nest or seek shade at their freedom. We grow all of our chickens slowly for 12-13 weeks old, almost twice as long as a conventional chicken. This ensures they develop a deep flavour with excellent texture.

How to cook chicken fillets

Our free range chicken fillets are very versatile and can be cooked simply by placing a lightly oiled pan over a medium heat and cooking for a couple of minutes on either side.

They are also perfect for making satay chicken. Whip up a marinade of garlic, fresh ginger, chillies, lemongrass, sesame oil and soy sauce and blitz in a food processor. Smother over your chicken fillets and leave for at least 2 hours. Thread the fillets onto dampened skewers and place them on a piping hot griddle pan or on your barbecue. They cook in minutes and taste sensational.
