  • These super sustainable rope-grown Mussels are harvested just down the road from us in Lyme Bay. The mussels are carefully steamed and preserved in a very light Escabeche before being ladled by hand into tins.

The classic Escabeche sauce is made with spices, vinegar, oil, and a pinch of salt.

Wonderful just as they are, as part of a delicious tapas, or use them to make a simple seafood pasta.

Lyme Bay Mussels are one of the most sustainable foods on the planet. The clever bivalves protect fragile ecosystems by cleaning the water they live in. The rope grown mussels also attract a wide range of other species such as brown crab and lobster providing a wonderful habitat that allows other fish and seafood to thrive.

Bivalves have the remarkable potential to provide us with food that is not only environmentally sustainable but also nutrient-dense. Mussels have the most impressive nutritional profile of all shellfish. With a seriously high protein content and impressive levels of essential omega-3 fatty acids, along with micronutrients, such as; iron, zinc and magnesium, they are packed full of minerals that our body needs to be healthy.

Choose from two types of mussels, large fleshy mussels or smaller mussels - they are both equally delicious!
