  • These handmade, artisan Frankfurters are a world apart from the scary sausages you find in jars on supermarket shelves. Each one has been made with the very finest ingredients, including the most important part; high welfare, pastured meat - and absolutely no preservatives at all. 

    Our friends at Fowlescombe Rare & Pasture in South Devon have carefully crafted the most delicious Frankfurters so you can still enjoy the wonderful flavour of these classic German sausages with none of the junk. 

    Pasture raised pork is combined with natural seasonings of; pepper, nutmeg, caraway seed, coriander, onion, ginger, marjoram and a hint of chili. Once carefully combined, the meat is then filled by hand into all natural casings to make these tasty little sausages. There is a whopping 95% meat encased in each gluten free pork sausage! The Frankfurters are then carefully smoked over natural beech and apple wood to create that wonderful Frankfurter flavour that we all know and love. 

    This is really wonderful food that you can trust completely and makes a delicious ingredient in all manner of dishes. Try making a homemade version of the famous tin of sausage and beans, load into our Hobbs House Finger Rolls and smother with sauces for the ultimate un-junked feast, or simply serve with buttery mash and seasonal veg for a speedy supper. There are endless possibilities with our Pasture Fed Pork Frankfurters. 

    Each pack arrived frozen ready to pop straight in your freezer, so you can savour them at your own pace. Once opened, they're best consumed within 3 days.

    4 Frankfurters per pack. Total weight approximately 320g.

  • British Pork (95%), Water, Salt, Linseed, Seasonings (Mace, Ginger, Garlic, White Pepper), Sea Buckthorn, Natural Sheeps Casings.

  • To cook from fresh or defrosted:

    To defrost the sausages remove from the freezer and leave on your kitchen worktop for a couple of hours. Or pop the plastic pack into cool water and leave to thaw for 10-15 minutes. 

    Put about half a centimetre of water and a knob of butter into a frying pan and place on medium heat. Add the frankfurter to the pan and cook for about six minutes until heated through, turning occasionally. Don’t let the water dry out.

    Alternatively, cover your frankfurter with a paper towel and heat on medium in a microwave, allowing 40 to 50 seconds for each sausage. Or prick the packet, place it in microwave and heat for 3 minutes to 3 minutes 30 seconds.

    To cook on the BBQ:

    Defrost the frankfurters and place on the grill away from any direct flames. Cook over the coals, turning regulary, for around 4-6 minutes.

All Pipers Farm meat is blast frozen at the perfect moment, locking in important nutrients and guaranteeing it tastes amazing. We deliver everything to your door in sustainably sourced, recyclable packaging. Our properly free range meat is carefully wrapped in a fully home compostable, 100% British sheep's wool pouch to keep it in perfect condition during delivery. Should any of your meat thaw during delivery; you can safely refreeze it and keep it frozen for up to 6 months. When you're ready to cook up a feast, you can speedily defrost most of our meat in 15 minutes (larger joints take a little longer). Simply place the items still in their individual packaging into cool water and they will carefully thaw.
