We are delighted to have joined forces with our good friend, food writer and chef Gill Meller, who has created some mouthwateringly delicious chicken recipes using our award-winning, slow grown Properly Free Range Chickens. Over the next few weeks we will be sharing two of Gill's beautiful recipes with you, which are perfect for Spring and the first tempting barbecues of the year.

Our friendship with Gill stretches back nearly a decade, back to the days of River Cottage, where we worked closely with the team, supplying them with the finest meat for the renowned cookery school.

"I first met Peter at River Cottage, nearly 10 years ago. I was working as Head Chef at the time and Peter had come to talk to us about his farm and the meat he was producing. The way he talked about food and farming was inspirational and his knowledge, rooted in a lifetime working hand in hand with nature, reaffirmed that low impact, small scale, regenerative farming is possible. Peter explained, that he’d seen the ugly side of farming first hand, and had always been determined to do things differently.
