Christmas spiced chicken wings

The tree is up. The holly is hanging from its hook on the front door. The house smells deliciously of the season. There has been much anticipation – and more than a little planning – for the major feasts of Christmas Eve and the following day, but Christmas cooking is always about more than the main feasts. The whole season is punctuated with smaller, simpler dinners for friends and family which still demand to be just that little bit special.

For a simple nibble, that's perfect with a tipple, and fills your home with a wonderful collection of yuletide aromatics; cloves, allspice and citrus, our fabulously festive Christmas wings are a must for your feasting repertoire. 

Ingredients 

Method

Mix the herbs, spices, garlic, honey, and orane zest together in a bowl.

Add the chicken wings and a good pinch of salt into the bowl and massage the marinade into the meat. You could leave the flavors to marinate overnight, or cook straight away. 

Place the wings onto a baking tray and pop into a hot oven set at 200C for 15 minutes.

Remove the wings from the oven and serve with a dollop of our Cranberry Orange & Port Sauce
