      • Wild Wood Pigeon tastes incredibly rich. It is delectably tender with a distinctive deep - and at times sweet - flavour.

        Often overlooked, Wild Wood Pigeon is properly sustainable and most importantly, absolutely delicious. It needs only the most basic of treatment to bring out its sublime flavour and texture, but if you like, you can apply all sorts of flavours and cookery techniques as this bird can take it. 

        It is our mission to encourage more people to eat what is wild, truly sustainable and ethically harvested from our local landscape. Pigeon deserves a place on your menu and we hope you will fall in love with the stunning flavour of this special British bird. 

        These portioned Wild Wood Pigeon Breasts are a wonderful way to enjoy the taste and texture of this delicacy, without any of the effort of handling the whole bird. 

        Our pigeons are locally shot in Devon, prepared by hand and blast frozen ready for you to enjoy. 

        4 breast fillets (average weight 195g)

      • Wild British Wood Pigeon

      • Heat a tablespoon of oil or ghee in heavy-bottomed frying pan over a medium-high heat.

        Season both sides of the pigeon breasts.

        Once the pan is hot, add the pigeon breasts and cook until golden brown – this will take about 2–3 minutes each side. 

        Add a knob of butter and baste the breasts when it melts.

      • Arrives frozen. 

        Once defrosted, cook within 3 days.

      All Pipers Farm meat is blast frozen at the perfect moment, locking in important nutrients and guaranteeing it tastes amazing. We deliver everything to your door in sustainably sourced, recyclable packaging. Our properly free range meat is carefully wrapped in a fully home compostable, 100% British sheep's wool pouch to keep it in perfect condition during delivery. Should any of your meat thaw during delivery; you can safely refreeze it and keep it frozen for up to 6 months. When you're ready to cook up a feast, you can speedily defrost most of our meat in 15 minutes (larger joints take a little longer). Simply place the items still in their individual packaging into cool water and they will carefully thaw.
