Free Range Bone In Chicken Thighs
Our Properly Free Range chicken thighs left on the bone are the perfect ingredient for a long slow cook. With a little time the simple ingredient of chickens thighs can be turned into something comforting and delicious.
With a distinctive depth of flavour that comes from the healthy and happy life of our chicken, these properly free range chicken thighs provide you with serious nutritional value as well as a wonderful texture.
We recommend 1 thigh per person.
Preheat your oven to 180C.
Take a good-sized roasting dish and place the thighs snugly within.
Season the skin and flesh of the thighs and place into the oven. Roast for 35-40 minutes.
Alternatively our chicken thighs on the bone can be slow cooked, by submerging them into stock and cooking at 150C for at least an hour.

When your meat arrives simply pop it into your freezer.
When you have chosen what you would like to eat, drop your items, still in their individual packaging into cool water and wait for 15 minutes until they are fully thawed. Once fully thawed remove the packaging and get cooking.
You can also gently thaw any items by leaving them in the fridge or at room temperature.

Time is such an important ingredient in any recipe, and when it comes to producing the most delicious Properly Free Range chicken, taking our time to rear a proper bird is so important in producing wholesome nuritous food.
After hatching, our chicks grow indoors for their first 3 to 4 weeks until they have feathered up and are ready for a life outside. Once feathered our chicks head out into lush Devon pasture. Our Properly Free Range chickens are then slowly reared to reach natural maturity at 12 weeks.
During their lives, our chickens live a properly free range life, roaming the pasture hunting for herbs, bugs and grubs. They are free to display all their natural instincts, living a stress free life reared in small flocks.
