Why we love this
Product details
Our British caught Coley is a wonderful sustainable choice as an alternative to cod and haddock. A white fish with a mild and flakey texture Coley is absolutely delicious when simply pan-fried.
Part of the cod family, the Coley is a coal coloured fish with a thick white line running horizontally down its body. It resides in the rocky regions of the south west coast and is in plentiful supply.
Approx 180g per fillet. 1 fillet per pack.
Ingredients
Coley (FISH)
Cooking Instructions
Our cooking times are just a guide. Your fish may vary in thickness, it may be warmer or cooler when it hits the pan, your oven or hob may behave differntly to ours. Use our instructions as a guide, but deploy your senses too; look, prod, listen and smell while you cook. After all, cookery should provide us pleasure as well as nourishment.
Panfried
Place the fish into a hot non-stick pan with hot oil and cook for approximately 3 minutes per side.
How to store
All our fish is caught at its best and blast frozen at the quayside.
Once defrosted it will be as fresh as the day it was landed. Once thawed, store it in the fridge and enjoy it within the next 2-3 days as you would with fresh fish.

Coley, Chorizo & Chickpea Stew
Coley and Chorizo Stew is a hearty Mediterranean inspired recipe. The warm spicy chorizo and the freshness of the Coley complement each other beautifully and make a perfect comforting meal in those cooler months, when only something warming will suffice.
