Bring a freshly baked loaf to the table with ease with our delicious 'bake at home' Farmhouse Loaf. 

Made with a 66 year old Sourdough starter and wholemeal wheat flour for a beautifully light and aerated structure, this delicious homemade bread is wonderful served warm with a slather of melted butter. 

It is just so simple to bake, all you need is a little patience to proof the loaf and a super hot oven and there you have homemade bread on the table without all the fuss. 

Our Bake at Home Farmhouse Loaves are delivered frozen so you can easily stock up and keep them tucked in your freezer, reducing your waste while giving you access to beautifully fresh bread.

Follow our cooking instructions for best results. 

Water, White Wheat Flour (with added Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), French Wheat Flour (with added Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Wholemeal Wheat Flour, Organic Rye Flour, Salt, Yeast, Ascorbic Acid.

The day before you intend to bake...

Remove the dough from the freezer and place into a floured bowl to allow to defrost, this will happen in about an hour. 

Once thawed, cover the bowl with a tea towel and rise for 8-12 hours at room temperature, until it increases in size by 1/3. 

We like to take the bread out say 6pm in the evening and leave it to thaw and proof ready to bake the following morning. 

Ready to bake...

Preheat your oven to 250°C.

Turn the dough onto a tray, into a tin or onto a hot baking stone. Score the top of the loaf and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.

Leave to set for 10-15 minutes at least, before slicing if you are wanting to serve the bread warm. Or leave to fully cool and slice away at your leisure.

We deliver everything to your door in sustainably sourced, recyclable packaging. Our properly free range meat is carefully wrapped in a fully home compostable, 100% British sheep's wool pouch to keep it in perfect condition during delivery. Should any of your meat thaw during delivery; you can safely refreeze it and keep it frozen for up to 6 months. When you're ready to cook up a feast, you can speedily defrost most of our meat in 15 minutes (larger joints take a little longer). Simply place the items still in their individual packaging into cool water and they will carefully thaw.
